well it looks like you got the matching of the beats down, but you got to understand the music your playing, where it drops, where it builds up, where it breaks down and for how long. Check out some of my mixes to give you and idea. http://djczar69.podomatic.com

From my point of view, an oldschool mixer who loves long transitions it sounds ... well let's say different. I am neither a friend of this kind of music nor do I like this hectic transitions BUT there are people who do. So don't think you have done something wrong just because a guy like me is telling his opinion ;)
Continue mixing and you will end where you want to!

Cheers,

Steve

  agree with the two previous opions,,first statment is that the music is in your heart and your head try to express it in one form or fashion  simply put you have to like/feel it with your being  second statment is that by expressing your music in a way that someone who has never heard the music you feel, can understand and enjoy it also  is in encence what you are trying to do   practise and try to feel the music begining to end, .trying to play music you dont enjoy is the DJ worst night mare, remember also that the audiences worst expericence is listening to something that they cant feel /understand   by the way welcome to mixvibes

I've had a listen, and whilst it's not my style of mixing, it's good for a first try.

I agree that you have to really understand your tracks, and the points in the songs where you can mix in the next track.

Also, it is not just about BPM - the songs must be close to each other in key, sometiimes known as 'harmonic mixing', or to put it another way, they should sound pretty similar.

I got a great peice of advice when I first started as a DJ - start with just a few songs that you know really well, and that you know mix well together. Practise over and over until you've got the mixes perfect, and then add a few more songs at a time. Before long, you'll have a great playlist that you'll be mixing like a pro.

Keep up the good work!
