Drivers Asio4All for U46 MK II & other sound cards

Hi there,

Great post, but everyone should be mentionning which OS they are using ...

From my experience, ESI drivers were decent with XP but no so optimal with VISTA. ASIO 4All was decent with both OS, but highly recommended on VISTA.

Appafrently the new 2.9 version is great so maybe it should b the new recopmmandation for all users ...

Anybody using XP+ASIO4ALL and finding it better then ESI drivers ?

Thanken You ! Ive had nothing but constant problems with the original drivers, I Install Asio4all and problems solved easy as that . Stopped the consistent breaking up and like somebody else had mentioned latency issue is sorted ! Happy as Larry!!!

When I went 64 bit, there were no ESI drivers available. So I tried the ASIO4ALL. It worked rather nicely.

Yes, you can use this card with its original asio driver or with asio4all.

I just ordered a used ESI u46DJ revision B
Latest driver version is 3.0 (November 2009) from esi-audio.com [all windows 32/64bit(xp/vista/7)] Do you think i still should use the asio4all instead even with this newest driver ? as i don't like the idea.
Any comment about this driver/card will be helpful.
I will hard use with DVS/timecodes v2 vinyl (using the card's phono preamp for better results)
Win xp or win7 (32bit)
