Very loud "hiss" noise while using ordinary vinyl in Cross

Postby mojster_jaka on 22 Oct 2009, 14:57

i played around with Cross on my macbook and looks like it's working like a charm, but when i've tried putting on a regular vinyl, the volume of the quiet parts in the track is very loud. this is something i coulnd't spin in a gig, cause people would start looking at you strangely.

i use two technics turntables, a u46mk2 soundcard and an external mixer. now i don't know if this is normal for Cross to do it like that, but i know i could play the regular vinyls normally in Producer. sure they are quite louder than mixvibes vinyl, but they didn't emmit this high level hiss noise, or "quiet" noise, whatever you call it.

is there a way around this?
