Please register your licence key in your user profile.

Then you can download a newer version.

If you have Cross LE this maybe 2.6.0. This is still a pretty old version.

If you want to use the latest version you will have to upgrade with a new to buylicense (maybe upgrade). You can test the latest version by using the Cross Demo. This can be downloaded by the button at the right top.

A MIDI controller has 2functions. One to control the DJ software using MIDI commands via the buttons. The other is working as a souncard.

These are 2 totally different technical things. MIDI works at the OS level and sound uses a driver.

So it's important to know what is and isnt working.

Also this is an older type controller. Make sure it as sufficient power via the usb port. An external power supply or powered usb hub might help.

You best use the 32 bit version of Cross demo not the 64 bit. Once this works we likly can get 64 to work as well.

Could you also please tell which OS you're using?

I checked some more and noticed your controller is MIDI only. No audio interface. So you can forget about that part.

If you have an USB 2 port you could try using that one. Or else test with a USB 2 hub in between. There is no advantage whatsoever in using USB 3. It is not unlikely that the controller actually is USB 1.1. ANd in some of the current OS distributions the settings USB 3 compatibility with 1.1 is disabled. (and USB can always communicate with 1.1.).

With the test of a differnt controller only shows that your PC can use MIDI. That yours work at her laptop shows your controller sends MIDI out. What's left is finding the little things that are not the same in the hardware or settings.

For DJing it is recommended to use an ASIO driver for sound. This can be downloaded from asio4all.com. By using this you will have better responisveness. When selected in Cross you can edit the asio4all. 256 can likely be set Maybe even lower. If to low you'll get audio dropouts.
