Formatting Notebook and saving collection

Postby tonytractor on 09 Jan 2020, 05:02

I would like to know if it is possible in case of Notebook formatting to save music collection information like beatgrids, cue points and etc to avoid wasting years work on my files. If possible, how should I proceed in detail?

Yes you can. If only to have a backup which you apparently don't have despite your many years of work...

These folders/files you need:
- collection database
- analyse files
- track files

Collection usually is 1 file. But be sure that if a filename exist with identical name but different extension to take both.

Location of analyses is found in Preferences.

If you have a new folder structure for your tracks you can 'relocate' in the collection afterwards. This can be done in batch. (not recommended to modify the folder-tree structure; only root part)
