Cross DJ pro 4

Postby durtyweakend on 19 Mar 2019, 20:53

Glad to see an upgrade to Cross at last but as an existing - and loyal - user I'm a bit cheesed off about having to pay for it - anybody else???

Development is not sustainable if you expect updates for free for life

once in a while you have to pay for an update and I see that as a good way to bring back some life into the development

Loyal traktor users just paid for the latest update
Serato changes their product line regularly so their user base have to pay again and again on top of the specific hardware

I see no problem with paying $49 for this update.

I agree, however I'm not a dex n' effects junkie, don't do weddings, and I'm not bothered about what the artwork looks like, but for mixing house music the current release is spot on.

£30.00 isn't unreasonable provided it's as stable and useable as it is now. I've tried most of the stuff on the market and don't like them much at all for various reasons.

With any luck the new bells and whistles won't ruin that.

Otherwise I might ask for my money back.

Well, I wound my neck in and spent some money ! First impression was good with nice contemporary feel. However, as i'm testing it's feedback time:

The Collection view expanded doesn't work when space bar is pressed.

When collection view expanded is clicked from view menu it lights/greys the mixer FX and sampler buttons on the top row - is this supposed to do this?

Tool tips doesn't work everywhere (selected in preferences)

I'm firing up the decks this weekend so really looking forward to testing the HID - very exited !!!!!!

We came from Cross 1.x to Cross 3.4.3 with free updates!!!
I think it's reasonable to support the company if we want Cross and Mixvibes alive.
