Update the manual

Postby Will ZEgal on 10 Apr 2018, 22:12

Hi. I'm working with a manual delivered with last version of CrossDJ download (3.4.3) and it's 2012 copyrighted.
The one downloadable on CrossDJ web page is 2011 copyrighted.

There are been some improvements and evolution since that time. It would be a good idea to update the manual.

AN updated manual would be nice, but as with many programs nowadays maintaining a manual is hardly a priority. Or even worse as it will always be behind. So restricting new developments.

The opposite of course is that users don't find even features that are in since the first beta release...

At this moment most users would prefer a new release over a new manual I would suppose...

A 'work around' to find new features since the manual would be to read the change log in downloads.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

OK. Let's say the manual isn't the most important. Advanced users don't give a down to it.

Newcomers may be a little more concerned. But who cares when you're already an advanced user ?

NI also lack of Maschines manual update as they release new versions very often. But at least, they publish some videos that clearly explain the new functionalities. Mixvibes seems to have forgotten about Youtube
