Mixvibes Android applications for Smartphone and Pad: CrossDJ
by D-JEFF on 29 Apr 2017, 09:49
Hello, I'm using Cross DJ 3.1.2 on an android 5.1.1 tablet.
I always used the folder view on my exernal sd as I'm mixing on folders I've been using for years...
Now I cannot access anymore my files in folder view although they are listed in Local Library !!! artists/album/...
It's really not convenient for me as I created folders for the purpose to manage them, shuffle play,...
Previously, I had to go to /storage/ext/....... to access external sd, now in folder view it seems I'm one level below : /storage/emulated/0 and thus I'm unable to go to external car.
In file explorer from android, no problem to go on second external card.
Am i Missing smth ? The access to sd card is no more available in folder search ?
Help is very welcome as I passed days to search back that option that worked fine since I bought cross-dj years ago...
Actually, the folder search on sd WAS the reason I chose Cross-dj, the others apps didn't...
Thank you Jeff

Seems that it's problem has no solution !!
I'm really disapointed that this feature was lost. Access in sd card folder seem so logic and necessary that I cannot understand why it's not possible anymore.
I'll switch to any other DJ app that has this function.
bye !

Hi there !
I'm struggling with the same problem...
In the ancient time i had no problem looking directly through the folders. But I hadn't used the app for a long time, and maybe an update killed the possibility...
I think that the problem is that the "folder explorer" starts at a level not high enough. It starts at sorage/emulated/0 which is directly into the internal memory of the tablet.
Is there any way to change it ?
Thanks for the help.

Hi everyone,
You should be able to change to your SD card or other external storage from the 'folder explorer' by tapping the three dot menu on the top right corner. This will bring up two options, tap 'Storages' and it should bring up a menu with all connected storage.

Sorry about the delayed response, I have been traveling for the holidays and am seemed to have caught a cold in the process. Here's a screenshot, I have highlighted the menu with a green rectangle: My SD card is rather old and started malfunctioning recently so I no longer use it with my device. If I did have it or other compatible external storage connected and tapped that menu, it would bring up the options to 'Scan for files' or change between 'Storages'. I hope this clears things up. well, as my answer is 5 months late I think I can't blame you for it I thought all my troubles were so far away when I saw your answer but.... I don't have those 3 dots on my app !!! What is this sorcery ?I tried to scan for files but it won't work either strange thing: in the local library I can see all the tracks that are on the SD card

Hi Chris,
I was just able to double check and the three dot menu that I showed previously will only show up if you are in the folder explorer. So check to make sure you are not in the normal track browser still and it should show up.
If it doesn't check to see what version of Cross DJ you have installed in the advanced settings>about Cross DJ.
