The last test did not required any map. I haven't posted a new version.
On the last test version I like to know if the strip for needle search was working correctly.

Only on Decks B + C - working great.
Decks A + D are doing nothing

MCX8000Test20.zip
MIDI map documentation 8000.txt
Complete Map

1st I have not done a load test on the map file. So if you downloaded to your computer and it does not load in Cross then it will not be until tomorrow that I can post the correction.

This file is hot off my keyboard.

Please carefully the documentation text file.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that you have to turn the pad mode off before using another pad mode within the same deck.

Example: Default mode using HOTCUE
1. You want to use ROLL mode
Press ROLL mode
2. You want to use SAMPLER mode
Press ROLL mode to turn the ROLL mode off
Press SAMPLER to turn the SAMPLER mode on.
3. You want to use HOTCUE mode
Press SAMPLER mode to turn the SAMPLER mode off
Controller defaults to HOTCUE mode

play and test.
If there are bugs I can fix them one at a time. Please bear with me. This is a big file (in comparison to other maps) that has 60,932 lines of code.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Loaded okay Thanks FigDJ, will give this a test this evening, although still think the pads are failing at first glance despite following instructions and depressing /turning mode off before switching. But I will let you know for certain early Tomorrow after tested tonight.

again thanks for the hard work ;)

Fig DJ
Could you tell me what MIDI channels are spare ; have not been used and probably will not get used in the future ?

Just for adding on another controller for more features although I only need 1 channel maybe 3 .

thanks

The MIDI documentation in PDF format that was posted early in this thread has all of that. There are no channels un-used.

Channel 1=Deck 1
Channel 2=Deck 2
Channel 3=Deck 3
Channel 4=Deck 4
Channel 5=Deck 1 Pads
Channel 6=Deck 2 Pads
Channel 7=Deck 3 Pads
Channel 8=Deck 4 Pads
Channel 9=FX1
Channel 10=FX2
Channel 16= Global

If you are adding another controller it doesn't matter if you use a channel that is in use. What matters is that you do not use the same channel and parameter in two different controllers for two different commands.
For a specific command
Controller 1
Set to channel 1 parameter 20
Controller 2
Set to Channel 1 parameter 21
That is ok,

and
Controller 1
Set to channel 1 parameter 20
Controller 2
Set to Channel 1 parameter 20
is also ok if they are the same command

however,
Controller 1
Set to channel 1 parameter 20
Controller 2
Set to Channel 1 parameter 20
using different commands is not OK.

Keep in mind that LED mapping for a second controller will have to take into account the use of modShiftlogic on the 8000. otherwise the LEDs on the 2nd controller will never work.

Thanks for info, much appreciated, although would still be best using its own MIDI channel as in a few add on controllers I have tested their are a lot of clashes and I can not change the CC on my beatstep Pro they are fixed, although I am still learning a few things so I will still only testing out my options to use the controller for all the sampler functions including Freq roll.

Although I do not fully understand how the shift logic control works/what it is intended for, and only what I think is rite in that the Mods are like having more shift + choices ? I Have presumed and used that way in the past.

again thanks for the info and advice, I experiment in order too learn. :)
