Recording vinyl only

Postby Roman_95 on 29 Oct 2016, 17:08

Hello,

Is there anyone who can explain what's going wrong in my setup.

I want to record a vinylonly session, using traditional regular records (NOT TIMECODE). I'm using a Xone 23C mixer, 2 technics 1210MK2 turntables, KRK Rokit5 G3 monitors and a macbookpro. I have the Cross LE software which I want to use to make a recording of my vinyl mix.

My MacbookPro is connected with the Xone 23C mixer via a usb cable that goes along with.

Maybe Cross LE is nog picking up the signal or something...

Thanks

 what have you tried ,,if you are trying to use the record function in Cross software then the reason its not recording is that the software doesnt see the master out ,, it leaves the mixer and goes to your sound system ,,correct  sooo the topic link it about rec out side of Cross software

 atm its not possible to record from a external mixer in Cross software useing the rec function Cross DJ ,crossdj le for xzone bundel .. Cross internal rec function can olny record master out from internal mixer ,thats what the link to the tutorial is about,, think about it and how the music signal is routed ,, two outputs from Cross to your mixer ,,via usb connection ,then to your sound system ,, the tc signal or vinal inputis routed to Cross,to either run tc or play vinal,, then it goes to your external mixer  are you able to play the vinal thru Cross ie you are gettuing the vinal signal to your mixer output :?:
