Auto-split on crossfade

Postby FabEthan on 07 Aug 2016, 10:14

Hi,

 it would be nice to have the feature "Auto-split on crossfade" into separated files when recording. :D

By the way, very nice software

Thanks

How I read it..

You use Cross to have a smooth transition while Cross fading....

Then cut the transition at some point during the transition...

Seems like you get the original track with a transition that's cut off... both the beginning as the end....

Would be really interesting to know what your objective is...

My guess is he wants a marker set in the recorded set each time you use the crossfader. Which is nice if you do a lot of work on your recorded set afterwards (for mixtape purposes or something). Or if you want to put your mix out and want people to be able to jump forward in the mix track by track.

Personally I don't use a cross-fader, have much more control with both channel faders than with the x-fader. Clearly if you scratch the crossfader is the place to go.

This is actually MIDI mapable in controllers that have "fader start" hardware addresses like the DDJ-SR,SX,SX2,SZ,RR,RX,RZ.
