Each increasing size has appx 3-4 times more pixels. Also framerate increases, so the CPU power is usually the bottleneck(and/or GPU).
Also you shouldn't underestimate the skills needed to master 4 videos. Using samples that are synced by the software is a big step away from live 4 channel video mixing.
How do you run 10 videos? I can only get 2?
As for mix them, I am not looking to do long mixes (don't think that would work with videos anyway) it would be more having two as a sampler, quick stabs/flashes of the video and a bit of scratching..
