'DJ Cable' compatible with Cross DJ

Postby azulrja on 23 Mar 2015, 20:50

Hi!

I've read a lot about this but I can't find a good solution. I just bought Cross DJ and the next step is a 'DJ Cable', what is the best option? I mean, which one is working fine with Android app?
Thanks!

Nothing real special, other than it has to be called a 'DJ cable' instead of 'stereo splitter'.

A stereo splitter splits the left+right channel to 2 outputs, whereas a DJ splitter splits left to one output and right to second output.

(and within each output plug the signal is copied so you have a 'new' left+right with the same sound).

BTW is use a 'home made' version and a traktor cable. Advantage of the latter is it is more solid.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

I have fallen in love with the Urbanears Slussen.

They fit on your keychain (and the coupling is so strong you will NOT use them accidentally), are sturdy with no risk of damaging your special cable.

Great stuff.

Cool! But It's working only with the Slussen app...

There's no intelligence in the audio connection via the headphone connecter.

DJ vintage only recommends because he uses it...

Indeed, it's just a dumb piece of technology. EXACTLY the same as a splitter cable, but without the cable and thus more sturdy and less likely to fail (i.e. broken cable). And easier to carry around in your pocket.

Plug in your smarphone earphones and borrow a mini-jack to PA cable from whereever you are and you are playing live with your phone!

Thanks, I've bought the Griffin GC35873 cable but I still hear some sound on headphone channel.
What is the perfect configuration?

In Cross you have the Mix fader which mixes cue in the master output if you like.

Also the Cross fader needs to be fully in opposite side if you preview the other deck.
