Libary window, option to remove from Collection and H/Drive

Postby elationdjs on 11 Nov 2014, 19:17

Hi,

Just an idea, I think it would be really helpful if in the library window there was a more detailed right click option for the remove from collection option.

I would like to see if possible:

1: Remove only from database collection
AND
2: Remove from database collection and remove from hard drive

This would help with duplicate files, I have in the past had multiple sources of pool music downloads and as such have got duplicates. It would be really handy to have the option of removing from the hard drive as well as the database so I could keep my collection tidy without using another program.

Cheers John

Would be rather tricky if you have multiple collections for different purposes.
If you purchase your tracks with other programs it shouldn't be Cross deleting it in my opinion.

I would also like to have an option like this. I now synch to rekordbox then sync to traktor with rekordbuddy once a month or so. Only reason is so I can make a playlist of songs I want to remove from my hard drive .
Tractor lets me remove track from collection and have the option to remove from hard drive at the same time.

When you have a subscription to a DJ Pool I sometimes just download a maybe I'll play track because it won't cost me any extra, but I end up never playing it anyway so to be able to delete it from collection and HD from within Cross would be grate

I've found this 3rd party app the best for finding dupes

Hi Guys,

RoJec, I agree but just because the function was there if you didn't want to use it you wouldn't have to, I only use a single collection but I can see where your coming from. Discopex, I do have duplicate finders but I have songs versions from CD Pool, Promo Only, Beatport and more, sometimes the duplicate finders don't find them correctly and also I may have 3 tracks of the same type, I may have added all the cue and marker positions to a single given track, a duplicate finder wouldn't know that. If it was included in the software I could load a version, see it was the right one then delete the other unwanted two all from one easy to use place, the library window. Job done..... :)
