I will do some tests, but we know that Cross for Android is an app that is battery consuming.
However, when you close the app, the process is killed. So how did you manage to get Cross DJ in background? Did you press the home button?
There may be an issue here : since we have our audio engine in a low level layer, Android may not kill our app when it needs to.
Tasks & apps are killed as soon as the phone needs some free RAM. But if it does not need this, apps are not killed. In our case, if our app is in background, it can consume.
Also, what did you use to check the battery consumption? I do not see Cross DJ in my alimentation/battery history
