Change the location of waveforms?

Postby Okidoki_Sir on 30 Apr 2014, 19:10

Hey, it's me again,

I played around with the free version a little bit, to see, if CrossDJ fits my needs. I really miss one thing: The possibility to change the location of waveforms.

I want both of them to be displayed underneath each each other and not side by side. Is that possible?

Like this:

Waveform1
Waveform2

Instead of:

Waveform1 Waveform2

I want something like this:

http://www.virtualdj.com/images/screens ... 6decks.png

Or this:

http://laresdj.com/7/skins/files/2012/1 ... rk-NS6.png

(So I want the waveform of deck 1 to be displayed above the waveform of deck 2, so that I can actually SEE if two drops are happening at the same time or something like that)

Instead of having the waveforms next to each other. Yes, I am coming from VDJ and yes, I am sick of it. But this is one feature I would really love to have in CrossDJ aswell. Maybe it is possible already, but I did not find out how :D

edit: I am referring to the big waveforms, not to the small ones used to skip parts of the track

It's not a problem the fact that you're coming from VDJ....most of us came here from somewhere else...posting.php?mode=reply&f=259&t=32977#
as for the waveforms of the beatmatcher (the upper ones) they look almost like the second option you gave (the Numark skin)....but....have you activate the beatmatcher? if not, you should go ti View Tab and click on the beatmatcher to activate it.....

Peace...

Okay, I found nothing in the view tab. There is some option concerning the beatgrid, but this does not change the interface in any way.

Just to be particular (found a screenshot of CrossDJ, showing what I want, so now its just a matter of finding a way to change my interface to this :D) this is what I want:
http://i1-mac.softpedia-static.com/scre ... S-DJ_3.jpg
(The combined waveform above the other ones)

And this is what it looks right now:

edit: I am an idiot. I thought you were referring to the "View" tab in the settings. I found the option now. Thanks a lot!

I really like it from what I have seen aswell. Though the maximum lookahead in the beatmatcher is rather small. Maybe like 10 seconds or something, but I guess there is no way to increase this, right? :D

Note: I already moved the slider with the magnifier to the top.

I think not....but (at least for me) that's not a problem...I got used to it from the first spinning hour......
I just focus to the music...not what I see...if you know what I mean......

Peace
