Pioneer DDJ SX setup

Postby CraigStan on 01 Mar 2014, 15:40

Howzit - just bought the Pioneer ddj sx. Previously using mix vibes with Pioneer 850s and works like excellent. I am running mixvibes Cross 2.5.0. I have connected the Pioneer unit to my notebook. When I go to audio preferences to select Pioneer ddj-sx it keeps returning an error message "Error opening speakers (Pioneer DDJ-SX) "Bad format:" any suggestions? Is there anything else I should be downloading. Many thanks for any assistance.

Hi there...I don't own any of these Pioneer controllers, but I would recomment something...check your MIDI prepferences, perhaps there's a confilct between similar brand controllers. If yes, then set as your preffered controller thd ddj-sx. Perhaps this should work.....just a thought....

1- Pages 25 and 26 Pioneer manual for setup.
2 - DDJ-SX compatible with Cross DJ 3.0

In the past another User reported the same error message with his
U-Mix Control Pro. The reason had been the USB Hub which he used.

This shows you aren't using (and probably haven't installed) the Pioneer ASIO driver. You need it to have decent latency.

Many thanks -

1 - please advise which manual are you referring to? I am only able to find serato manual electronically

2 - I am currently running 2.5.0 - and per mixvibes website, this should work?

2.5 is quite old!
Don't remember how it worked in this version...
But we can't provide support for 2.5...
You'd better update to 3.0.
