Audio 8DJ mic won't work in Cross DJ

Hi all I've recently acquired a NI Audio 8 DJ sound card which I've been using with Cross DJ and U-Mix Control Pro. Got the drivers all installed and I am able to play and monitor no problem. The problem arises when I try and use the mic. I can use the Mic using Traktor Scratch Pro but cannot find a way in Cross DJ of outputting the mic back through sound card to come out of the speakers. I much prefer Cross (2.5) to Traktor . The mic is plugged in the Audio 8 as is the headphones and RCA's to amp. The problem appears to be that either Cross doesn't offer a thro setting withing the audio setup or else I am just too stupid. please help. Thanks Jim

Hi Jimbosyourman and welcome to the Cross community!

To get your mic signal in Cross DJ you first have to assign
the audio 8 DJ mic input (i guess it is CH 5/6) to a Cross Input.
Input 1 and Input 2 can be used as player audio source.
Click the button above the filters to change the input mode.

The Aux Input can only be used as a audio source for the recording function in Cross.

Does that mean you can't use a mic over the top of two tracks? I wasn't aware of that.

This is possible!
You have to enable "Mix" and "Aux" as input source
in the recording settings.

Hi tried your suggestion and it does work. The problem being that firstly in four player mode you are forced to allocate either A or B to Mic. cant do C or D. So your then faced with the impracticality of using players C and D for Mixing while having A for mic. I'm really struggling with this but dont wont to ditch either The Audio 8 as it is an excellent sound card or Cross DJ 2.5 which i am very comfortable with and much prefer to Traktor Scratch Pro. Has anyone actually succesfully set up a mic using any native instruments soundcard which is as practical to use as the onboard mic plug on the U-Mix Control Pro mixer when using the onboard soundcard.?

not familiar with the sc and its set up ..,, if the second sc native inst has a line input then would it be possible to send the 1/2 output of the control pro to this input and send the output from this card to the sound system ,,. the mic input on the control pro is a hardware related item and doesnt come thru the soft ware
