And you know, I don't really like Traktor better, but I have Traktor and have used it since it was all mustard and ketchup and beige. As I said, I don't use my laptop to DJ anymore. I used to, but now it's just a part of my workflow to test mixes and things. I could care less what it is, but if I could build playlists and drop them directly on my thumb drives, well that would be very convenient.

Tell me, would this update to 2.6 without additional fees or is it version 1 or something:

 wow look at that ,,on amazon the price of $72 ,,
 Cross and all of the current mixvibes products has offered up dates to there software for free  including the current version of 2.6..
what the future holds :?:
maybe your thought process will prevail, and the will offer a stripped down version at a low cost and charge you for added features ,,,,so then you will have the choice of just two decks at a price or you can pay for the next version with fx , at a different price ,,or you can add in timecode for a additional fee,, specilized mapping a extra price ,,,the you can have one with iOS control ,,hecks i forgot about the sampler pads that where so nessary ,,, sound like any car dealership around the world ,,

remember the choice is yours ,,

Forums. I'm only going to repeat myself one more time. I don't take issue with the total cost. I've dropped heaps of money into DJ and production software. It's just the $50 for the software and then another $50 for HID that sits wrong with me. I was honestly hoping somebody would step in and say "well you know they really overhauled their product and went much deeper with their HID implementation than other companies do" or some such confidence building sort of thing that would allow to see the why HID is worth $50 to Mixvibes, but nothing to all the other DJ software companies.

I mean yeah, that's a little covoluted, but they basically are already doing that. Give me something else with my HID for $50. iOS sampler maxipads or whatever. Timecode I won't use is a step in the right direction, but maybe something a little more tangible or visible to me. Make it feel like when you get that Cross without the "DJ" on the end of it, you really stepped into the Cadillac of the Mixvibes line.

what? Yes Traktor has HID, but it lacks the Rekordbox bit or I wouldn't even be here. If you are referring to the actual cost upgrades and whatnot since day one, it has to be more than the $99 that this software costs, but again, I think you are failing to see my point and being rude as well.

Also, I follow you on the price of the software coming down, but that doesn't change the fact that nobody else on the planet is charging $50 for HID, at least not in the realm of DJ products.

i am glad that you are intersted in Cross for your needs ,,
