I shall try some of these tweaks - thanks! I'm using Ubuntu on one computer and Xubuntu on another. I'm also the family 'computer guy'! When someone replaces their computer, usually their old one is donated to me - great for running Linux, or for spares!!

I just optimized my SSD jnspired by this guide. I am running Xubuntu 12.10 here. And i love the customization options. I modify them all the time. 1st2nd3rd

a lot of cool themes there, but I am a minimalist myself and have really strange taste. One of the things I like most in Linux is Conky

o thats the skin i run Xubuntu with a nice mac style doc and im set to go with the power of ubuntu studio and the Xubuntu .

nice one there is something about the lion theme that i love . and i run on my moms laptop for her she loves it

i have not yet done the ssd tweak i hope to do a daul boot when i buy my laptop and run daul boot so that i can run Cross ( hope that once i finger out how to run mixvibes on Ubuntu i wont have to daul boot

i would see that being best to DJ with once Cross works on linux
