Hi Everybody,
Got my mixvibes for 3 years or so, and i'm a happy user :-). However i never used the U46MKII for vinyl ripping.
Tried to find some info on it but it's mostly about the U44, and unclear to me
A step by step plan would be much aprreciated, really want to digitalize my vinyl the best possible way.
PS: are there cleaning options noise removal etc.
Thanks
Grtz

@ Daniel.
Had to search for my license code. Really want to start ripping my vinyl in good quality asap :-)
You might think i've lived under a rock or something but is updating free ? When i updated mine 2/1,5 years back from 1.3 to 1.5 i had to pay.
Thanks !

Aaaaight thanks will check for the update later then. Currently the focus is on vinyl ripping :-) Well i walked into a record shop yesterday and asked what a good way is to rip vinyl. He told me that it's best when u use an external soundcard, when i checked the inet i discovered that u can Use the U44 for this ON THIS SITE http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/12/ri ... vinyl-mp3/So i was hoping that it's also possible with the U46MK2, this would save me money. If this is not the case i would like to get some tips on ripping vinyl the best way possible. I use to do it with a cable leaving my mixer and entering an older PC (record with creative mediasource), it works but the quality lacks sometimes, and for use at bigger gigs (larger soundsystems) i'm afraid it won't sound as it should. Thanks

Thanks Jim You are not the first who advises me this program, but an external soundcard seems to be needed for good quality. So the question remains can i use the U46MK2 for this and how ? Currently use this cable to plug in my old PC http://img.cbcdn.net/products/48328

Connect the U46 to your laptop, open Audacity, go to the audio preferences and set the input to 'U46 channel 1/2' (or comparable). Connect one of your turntables to input 1/2 and record.
