If not FA66 could UA66 be a good option ? (never tested the usb flavor but loved the firewire one). EDIT : seems only the 101 get the USB version.
j-kut, you should know that on soundcards, people mostly talk of individual ins/outs not thinking of pair. So do the math !!! (if you can...)
As said earlier in the discussion, you can have the best AD-DA converters with the highest specs in the world on the audio, firmware and so on, if the drivers are bad you're pretty 'blown'
(stability, audio quality, latency).
