getting a concense for a modified control pro 2 mapping

well back to playing useing ver2.1 and cp2
would like to get thoughts and ideas to implement a sampler version of the MIDI mapping for control pro 2 ,,,
would like to be able to use all 8 sample pads possibly controlled by the 4 sampler buttons ,,
reason for this is that locators can be triggered by keyboard short cuts ,,1thru 4 is already mapped to current player and the remaiing ones can be mapped the same way #5 thru 8
not shure if the shift function will /can be set up to get the 5-8 sample pads to function as did in the mapping of control pro ,,but that would be nice ,,because that would leave the locator side the same to edit locators 1 thru 4 as the normal mapping is set up for hope this makes sence

any ides and thoughts please post on the posting

I thought this is the way it is mapped, isn't it? There are - I bet - again several different mappings available. Why not having a look into those, daniel? Sorry, I cannot acces those as I just (still? HAHA) have the U-Mix Control Pro 1 :P

some changes made in the hard ware,,only one mapping avaible ,only controls 4 sample /4 locators .. the little white button is used now to shift between loc and sanple ,,the first button next to it was used to shift between 1 to 3 and 4 to 6 in one of the variation of mapping for pro ,now used as a sample /loc pad in pro2

You could use a double shift command.
Configure one button as modifier then map
(shift+mod button+pad1) to pad 5

ok next question:
do you want to be able to switch from #1-4 to #5-8 via smp/loc button only for locators, only for samples or should both be possible?

not worrying about light feed back,, if the switch that control sam/loc can be left as is then that gives the same control for locators 1 to 4 ,, just trying to gain access to the 5 to sample pads by MIDI

Ok one possible solution:
YOu could map your jog button as "5-8" button.
so play loc 6 would be
smp/loc button = off + jog button + pad2 button.
play sample 6 would be
smp/loc button = on + jog button + pad2 button
if this is ok for you i will make some mapping and upload it.

are you saying that the jog button would get you the second set of samples ,ie jog plus sample pad 1 would get you sample pad 5,sample pad 2 and jog will get you 6,,etc ,,yes ,just need that action to toggle on to control pads and toggle off to stop pad playing,,,my thought isby leaving the nautral/already mapped action and using a shifter then you can have the same actions may be even use the same jog button and,use the sam/loc bitton plus pads to control loc also,,if that makes sence

yes this possible. consider one last thing:
jog button then has not the normal jog button function anymore it only acts as "5-8" button.
If you want the jog button to keep his normal function AND act as "5-8" button then you have to use additional tools like MidiOX.
