It would be best if Cross sent out MIDI clock that would sync to ableton. Or if Cross had ReWire capability, it would do the trick too.

Is beatflash out a clock signal, or simply a flash of the deck's metronome? I don't want flashing lights on the beat, I want a clock signal that can be legitimately sync'd to, or the ability to sync to a clock that ableton sends out.

Beatflash is a flash of the deck metronome.
You can use it for something else than a light because it's just a MIDI note that is sent.

This is a sync MIDI signal, not just a flash of the metronome beat. The beatflash will be useful in my project, however, it is not a sync signal. Multitrack recording is possible in ableton with Cross, but performance with ableton and Cross is not as easy as if there were MIDI sync between the two programs.

how accurately is the Metronom on BeatFlash?

i build a Max Patch (http://cycling74.com/) to sync my DMX Patch to Cross.
My Problem is the BPM or better the milliseconds between the beatflashs ar really inaccurate. (not a constant value +- ~10BPM)
