HISTORY LIST - WHY IT LISTS PRELISTENED SONGS

Postby Bronx on 04 Nov 2012, 22:06

hi
I have the U-Mix44 sound card (2 outputs) so every time I mix a have to prelisten / cue tracks via one of the players - that means I listen to short part of a track to decide wheather i drop that track or not.
...and the history lists also those unused tracks
that is a pity...
there Could be something like "smart list" option to omit track played less then a minute let say

Using the Preview player/feature shouldn't put them in your history.

you are right, it does not, but as I wrote it lists all tracks that I have to preview via one of the decks - the "preview" ( on the right side of the track list) is not available with sound set up for "external mixer cue" ( and I have the U-Mix44 scard)....

True, as long as you don't have a dedicated output for the monitoring it doesn't work. Need an improvement there...

 I think the quickest improvement woukd be to get a sc with additional out put to use the preview player,,not shure if the U-Mix Control Pro 1 or 2 would fit the bill ,, dont use tc vinal., so not shure of the routing for preview ,,know its seyt up for tc with the full ver of Cross

Here is the situation
- the preview player is routed to the monitor output.
- the monitor output is not available in external mixer (you're supposed to monitor on the hardware).
- if you monitor in a deck the play count/history increase
- routing the preview player on one of the deck output in external mode can be dangerous (if this output is the deck on air).

I will see with dev what can be done. Played time timer seems to be the easiest for now IMO, but we can debate about it.
