I'm not sure what the 'SOS Phantoms' refers to...  (I looked it up and found that it was the French title for the film 'Ghostbuster', but I'm sure I may have got it wrong there!  ) I totally get the My Generation reference though.  Summer is here! I mean that all old heroes of the pop years are not able to entertain us today.
I love Bob Dylan for example but nothing is more boring than an old man lost on stage. This isn't fresh enough for me!

I bunderstand exactly - I find it sad to see some of the old entertainers trying to keep up with the modern music. The only one I can think of that does it well is Tom Jones.
