Played Song History & Logging

Hello,
I am a typical Wedding/Birthday DJ. I like to keep track of the songs that I have played for the night to only play them once.

I have all of my songs in iTunes as I buy them at the function as they are requested.

Point 1
It would be good if the software had an optional column to tell us if it has been played in the past. This played status needs to be manually resetable. Eg, even if the software is closed and opened again the history needs to be there.

Point 2
It would be good if the software was able to keep a text, csv, html or xml log of the songs played. If it was in a format that could be read by a web browser all you would have to do is refresh the browser to see the history during a gig. That way you can review the songs you have played for the night.

For some people they could even upload this directly to a webserver.

I currently write down every song I play in a note pad.

There is a 'Last Play' column. Also, you can create a Smartlist to show 'Recently Played' or 'Most Often Played' tracks.

the history will also keep tabs as to whats been played,, havent looked to see if its a running pouplation to keep track of what has been played,on that set will have to check that out

just checked it out by ramdomly playing some tracks,,history keeps a running list of whats been played,, and can export list also,,Sooooo this might suffice

Just checked that Daniel - the history shows track played on a certain date.

plus there is a colume that tells whats being played in which deck also what has been loaded in a deck ,,that should give some point of indication of what has been played or loaded that session

yes just have to adapt your thought process to what avaible and what you are trying to accomplish,, cant wait to see and read the manual , wonder what other goodies are in store

The only thing missing is the played reset but it as already been asked.

Does anybody know the options for entry into the date field. I checked the user manual under smart playlists and its not there.

eg I want to have a list so its parameters are

Date of last play is, in the last 2 days?

Your idea has been requested in the past (full traceable play history + exportable list ect..)
i think it on the developers to-do-list
