Here's what I would like to do which is something I think Cross should be able to do.
I'd like have to have FX Amount and FX On/Off assigned to the same Knob so that Fx is Off when Amount is = 0 and reciprocally, Fx is on when Amount > 0
I don't know if this is a special case among the whole MIDI mapping rules or if this is excluded due to how it has been implemented but I'd really like to be able to do that.

I haven't thought of that.
but can 2 mappings for the same device be active/enabled at the same time?

The turn signal and the push signal is two different value and signal type, and two different parmeter, because it is an encoder. YOu can assign a button to work as modifier, but only if you keep holding is (Modifier 1, and assing a button as a holder button). Now you have a normal parameter and you have an another for the same button (or knob), if you don't or push the modifier button. Check the attached picture for it. But be careful... If you don'T select holder function, Cross will keep the Modifier on, nothing else will work

just conversation and info ,,to achieve his outcome wouldnot the hardware be the main issue,,,or the easier solution,,,since in reality if he leaves the effects on then his volume control will increase/decrease it as he wants,,the only other thought is that the software be modified to turn on when it sees a input from the MIDI command other than 0,,dont have the info /knowledge to speak just thinking outloud

Well, I see the point. It is not really possible Because it is the same parameter... There is a way, but Cross might not detect it. If you edit the .mappings file in notepad. I'll start thinking about that....

like i said not enuff knowledge on my part you would need something akin to a combination on/off with a potentiometer in a single control,,(hardware),,in the controller,,to be able to mapp it as he wants,,leaving the fx on and increasing/decreasing the volume will get the same outcome
