The U-Mix 44 won't change a thing! It is another audio interface but nearly the same as in the U-Mix Control Pro.
Did you update to the latest Cross version and did you update your system? Additionally what kind of distortions are it? Low frequency distortions, glitches, do they appear frequently or only sometimes? Did you increase the latency to check if it helps?
Neither the U-Mix 44 nor the U-Mix Control Pro have a 96kHz audio interface, you can use both at 48kHz maximal.

Steve

Hey,

I have a (maybe stupid) question: how do you connected your U-Mix Control Pro with the mixer at the bypass function?
I ask because at the past we had some people how switched also when pressing the bypass button at there mixer the line to phono (because the turntables output is phono) but the U-Mix Control Pro and the software converts them to line pegel. Have you checked the input level at the control panel at the software? maybe decrease it.

regards
Christian
