Hi
a week a go i bought the MixVibes Cross Pack, wich includes the timecode system, software and soundcard U46 MKII. Now i have the following setup:
-Tabletops "American Audio Radius 3000" -Mixer "Behringer DJX 750" -Laptop "Sony VAIO 2GB RAM & 1.8 Hz Intel core
Everything works fine, and i'm very happy with my purchase, altough I have a question. When I play with Cross and my tabletops, I can't use my effects that are availaible ony my tabletop, is this normal?
And about the timecode CD, do I have to play them whole or a piece, and wich function has it?
A lot of questions I know, but I hope to get some response!
Excuses for the bad English and thank you!

Hey,
you can't use the effects of your CD player when using Timecode CDs. The Effect manipulates the Timecode Signal which decrease your Timecode Quality and then you have problems with controling your Cross. You can only use the effects at Cross for your songs.
You can, depends on the modus you use Cross, play any part of the cd or the correct timestamp of the cd. When you use the relative mode at Cross you can play at every position at the CD to controll Cross.
At absolute modus you have the same timestamps at Cross as the CD player has. CD Player time = Cross time for the song

Thanks for this usefull information Christian! Now, when I want to set a CUE point with my player, the music file doesnt stop always? And when it stops and I hit the CUE button, the music file begins to play, even when i release the button, just like PLAY/PAUSE. Do I have to set my CUE points with the software?
And to close I have another "problem". When I select a track and put it into a deck no problem. When a push the PLAY button the track begins to play, no problem. but when I PAUSE the track while playing, the WAVEFORM is liek zooming in and zooming out very fast, without I do something. Is this normal?
Already thank you Christian for your help! I appreciate!

Hi
I have two AMERICAN AUDIO RADIUS 3000 table top cd-players and a Behringer DJX750 mixer.
The two players are connected with my soundcard (MV U46 MKII) on INPUT 1 & 2. The OUTPUTS are connected on two channels(LINE INPUT) on my mixer. The soundcard is connected to my netbook with a MIDI/usb cable.
Now I've seen on the website of the crosspack that my CD players are not copatible for the MIDI function of Cross. Is that a problem, and is that midid funtion something different from the timecode system?
Thank you!

I've mapped my players with succes! But I have another question...
When you play with the player in MIDI mode, you can't use your soundcard for the output signal or what? Wich setup do I have to do?

Nice, glade to see it working for you. Shure you can use the soundcard, just select external mixer in the audio-preferences. Deck A->out 1/2 and Deck B->out 3/4 cheers. P.S. If you want to use the players midi-only (without Timcode-Cds) you should take a look at the built-in mappings, maybe for the pioneers cdjs, double the one that fits your needs best (just click "x2" in the midi-prefs) and then remap the commands to the according midi-buttons your radius, also rename it, so you dont mess it up
