You said that the controller was frozen when a lot of lights come to life, so I asked to you to switch off the MIDI out to see if this is still happening.
If you want to have the leds on you'd better have the MIDI out engaged.
I'm having a problem mapping the jog wheels. I'm trying to follow the mapping used for the "Typhoon" since the "Spin' is virtually identical to it.
As said I don't know anything about the spin so I wouldn't tell they're the same even virtually...
But if you really think so then you just have to copy the jogs settings from the typhoon to the spin.
I can't find which button is N37 CH1 and N38 CH1.
All MIDI commands should be into the controller documentation but a tools like Midiox (PC) or Midipipe (mac) should help you to know what is sending each control.
Is the "Smart Seek" function used for the jog wheels?
Can't remember but on some controllers the 'smart seek' feature is mapped to 'shift+jogwheel'.
I really didn't understand everything, here is where I left :
using spin controller with typhoon mapping is freezing on leds activationthis is why I asked you to kill the MIDI out to see if it still occurs.
My guess is that you must have usb power issue when too many leds are lit.
Now you have decided to do a whole mapping from scratch... why not but :
- you will then ask me how to have leds on (xml coding)
- probably this will end with the same result : freeze
