Cross w/ Numark iDJ3 Connectivity Problems, HELP

Postby Joel200hawk on 21 Oct 2010, 04:33

Hi, I bought the Numark iDJ3 package with Mixvibes Cross Software
I Installed all the drivers and Software properly, but the device just does not seem to work.
All that lights up on the mixer is the autoloop buttons for both jog wheels and my bottom buttons (SYNC, CUE, PLAY, STUTTER).
None of my knobs are working on the device nor any other buttons light up, and my autoloop button lights seem to just stay on, they will not turn off. As far as my computer says, the device is there, just an unspecified device, the drivers for the "unspecified device" are all working. Also, as far as Cross is concerned, the mixer is non exsistant. Can somebody please help me?

-I have reinstalled the driver twice.

If the unspecified device is the controler, Cross won't work with it.
What happen if you click in the software GUI, does the lights respond to this ?

OP here.
Yes, the lights seem to respond. But when i installed the drivers onto a new computer from the CD, it says the device did not install properly device may not work properly. I also know, other MIDI mixers such as the AUDIOGRAM6 by Yamaha doesn't function properly either.

I seem to be having the same problem. When I firs installed the mixer everything worked out fine. I was able to play and mix music with no problems, but whenever I use it now the same lights light up on my mixer. Ive uninstalled everything and reinstalled numerous times with no luck. The mixvibe software seems to lag also and I got a sort of clicking sound out of my speakers when I play music. I am using Windows Vista 64-bit with 6 gigs of ram. I am not sure what is giving me the problem. Ive called Numark and they couldnt help me. They said the mixer might be faulty and to exchange it which I did, but now I am having the same problem with the new mixer. Can anyone please help?

It was working and doesn't anymore ?
Do you use the same usb port ? do you install any new hardware or software in between ?

The lag you're having with the software is certainly related to the soundcard.
What drivers are you using ?
You have to install the ones from the Numark_iDJ3_X64_2.9.11 folder.

It worked in the sense that when I first connected it right out of the box and installed everything it was running fine, but now its not allowing me to use it. I tried the same usb port along with other ports. I installed the Numark_iDJ3_X64_2.9.11 drivers first and havent installed any other software or hardware.

Change your soundcard in the audio tab by the internal one.
Still laggy ?

I'm not sure how I would go about doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went into my audio preferences in mixvibes and switched it from idj3 asio driver to the primary sound driver and speakers (realtek high definition audio)and my music is laying fine without any lag now and both of those settings. I previously had it connected from the mixer into my receiver with rca (red & white) cables which I'm assuming somehow was giving me the lag. My issue now is that the mixer seems unresponsive. It still lights ups but the buttons dont seem to work. Any suggestions?
