Playing WMA on Cross 1.3.4

Postby DJ_D on 08 Sep 2010, 06:53

Hey guys I just bought my IDJ3 and it comes with Cross 1.3.4. I am trying to get WMA to play but nothing. Is there any codec or does 1.4 play wma?

Hi!

Welcome on board!

Cross unfortunately can't play wma files at the moment, and nothing planned in a near future...

You'd better convert them into another format (mp3, ogg or m4a for instance).

Cheers,
SylMV

Thanks for disappointing info lol...Next option is figuring what other program to get. I know VDJ (Virtual DJ) really well but having a problem when trying to use IDJ3 with it. A lot of the time not all the buttons work with VDJ and the output is horrible...Any suggestions?

Just do a sylMV has said and convert the files to mp3's.

Are these WMA files DRM protected or not? If so I have a suggestion ;)

You could give this software a try.

It re-record's the protected WMA file, leaving you with a un-protected mp3 file ;)

I know of a couple of guys that have used it and they think it's rather good :)

Thanks this is a life saver :)...Just one more thing. Do any other Mixvibes programs work perfectly with IDJ3 and read WMA?
