Can't load media error message - file to big to load.....

Postby markster_uk on 09 Aug 2010, 17:59

Hi
I just downloaded the evaluation version of Cross DJ and have added some tracks from my iTunes library that I am going to attempt to mix. I try to drag the tracks to player A and B and i get the error message "can't load media - file to big to load to memory". Tried a variety of sized files and get the same message - any ideas anyone?

By the way, all the files are AAC files that I downloaded from iTunes (MPEG-4 Audio File (.m4a) 16.5 megabytes each.

Cheers

Mark

by the way, I just tried to load a small file that definitely isn't copy protected and got the same message. Not sure what is happening.

Has anyone got any ideas, as it is useless if I can't load the tracks

Hi I use the evaluation version. This programme seemed really good and I was fully planning to buy a full copy once I'd had chance to try it properly. I'll send you that file when I get home this evening as I'm currently at work.

hi - I sent the file. Think I've figured out the issue after 2 hours. I can load any file that is MPEG Layer 3 Audio (.mp3) but not MPEG Layer 4 Audio - any ideas why this might be? Sods law that 98% of my music collection is MPEG Layer 4 Audio - any ideas or anyone else encountered this?
