Okay, Just going to do another map, as I have not really spent enough time at it, back ache and all that, so rushed some aspects, their for I want to create another to compare, I can do a majority.
But multiple functions of the pads I can not on this unit.

Sorry for delaying, but I am on it, think I need to go and sit in my studio chair with my PC as suppose to laptop and high stool lol,so I can stick at this much longer, going to start tomorrow and spend until Monday hard at it with notes etc, again thanks FigDJ much appreciate this help, your cool . :biggrin:

Activated Soundwave you should map the touch strip to the smartseek command. it will work then. if you are willing to test I can map all the advanced functions. It is pretty straight forward for me with the table that DJ Vintage provided I just don't have the controller to test. Post what you have already and we can go from there forward.

I would prefer not to do that as I map Smart seek and smart seek length to the parameter buttons as this is very important to be able to skip around when looping, strip search is best just as strip search if possible as it is not as accurate for jumping loops back and fourth.

You can map it to both but the uses are different. I am not saying that you have to give up the smart seek and smart seek length mapped to the parameter buttons but add the smart seek map to the touch strip. It is using the same command but in different ways. The parameter button is used as you mentioned with the loops, however the Smart seek on the on the touch strip is used to scroll within a track to find a specific section quickly.

You can follow my advise or not, but that is the correct way to do it. The Cross mappings for DDJ-SX, SX2, SZ, RX, RZ and just about any controller that uses a touch strip are all mapped and working fine that way.

In addition, the fact I requested you post your map on several occasions within this thread and you have yet to respond on that leads me to believe that you don't really want the help. If you want to do it on your own that is fine.
I am no genius but do have experience in mapping controllers, taking advise and help is of course totally up to you.

I do wish for your help, its just that I am trying to get done all I can including labelling the mappings so you know exactly what I have done and also for future users, as their may be a few things I have mapped differently (not the basic and I have followed best for this controller but their are a few other Commands using mods that would be best if I Finnish what I can.)

Where I will have problems is with the touch strips, pitch fader platter,Led/pad colour etc. the pads are not like other controller I think!!? and I have heard this mentioned on the Traktor DJ forums too.

So forgive me but I just want to do as much as I can to make it easier at your end in relation too these few extra mod mapping etc.

I have finished decks 1+2 /A+B so I just have to sort C/D which would take me about 3 more hours too do, but it is tedious making sure I don't map any of the extra mod control wrongly and so each deck correspond and labelling all so you see what I have done okay or maybe wrong. you may wish to change a couple of mods if needed for other aspects this I don't really know. on top of that I wanted to mention in some notes about a few more in-depth features/commands to see if its feasible to map in the way I suggest, not essential but I like to be thorough which also aids my learning too.

again sorry for giving you that idea I can post what I can now if I can find a file host site, never uploaded/added a download link on any forum before, So just trying to do my best at this, again thanks for your understanding, I will go and try sort this out now.

Try this for needle search on strip. Of course parameter and channel are different this is just an example.

Code: Select all
        <mapping name="NEEDLE SEARCH">
          <events>
            <MIDI type="CC" parameter="0x3" channel="0x1"/>
          </events>
          <controls>
            <control alias="fam(Player)[0x1].NeedleSearch"/>
          </controls>
          <preset name="Direct Fader/Knob">
            <parameters>
              <parameter object="action-0" key="action" value="SetNormal"/>
              <parameter object="dispatch" key="centerCCandPWvalueRange" value="64 64"/>
              <parameter object="dispatch" key="useCenteredCCandPW" value="off"/>
              <parameter object="invert" key="on" value="off"/>
            </parameters>
          </preset>
        </mapping>

too others reading this is not a finished mapping please wait a little longer. This will not work for you yet, thanks.
Deleted see new post

think this download will work
also as I mention in past post this was a second mapping I did I am still to bring a few things over from the first mapping on my laptop, at present I am on my PC for this second mapping, I will make a copy of this second mapping and carry on with what I can do for practice, until you can look at this 2nd mapping and relay back any info,

If their is a particular time you have free to do so then let me know and I will make sure I am available, can always talk on Facebook or messenger etc,

I have no idea how to get in and do this coding, I have tried in past to access but despite my efforts knowledge online was scarce with my limited understanding, I can only use the basic mapping page .
