My point was that if you post what you have I'll be able to examine the code and point you in the right direction. However, without seeing the code there is no way that I can tell where the problems are located.

Ima still going to carry on and finish decks C + D that is simple enough, just takes a few hours. and then I am going to take another look at the tricky things and as you say should be able to sort those out with your advice etc.

and lastly I will go back to the other pad functions which seem to be a bit bizzare to me, as they do not act like the Pioneer ddjsx, I can only assign the hot cue markers and each time I assign other pads they just try to use the same messages as the hot cue markers and do not recognise each individual Pad function button as new messages. but we/I can work on that after all the basics are finished so at least other users can have all 4 decks.

I have assigned all deck shift buttons too mod 1,
and as with the DDJSX I have used deck button 1 to 4 as mod (holders) on mod 2-5 assignments.

Unfortunately on the MCX the buttons and knobs for all the decks occupied the same messages so in fact their is only one lot of control, so this is where I am using the Deck 1-4 mods I created, but I am still working on a few other related areas.
This is why I wanted to get some notes made, but I have still labeled my assignments.

One last note, I have used the single sampler volume for preview volume and I would like to have that double up when using shift to then scroll threw the preview track?. on top of that I have assigned the X-F Link button below the sampler volume to preview cue on/off
anyhow one step at a time, again thanks. :)

A quick rundown off where we are at with this mapping.

Okay Just about finished mapping all 4 decks (then next We just have to sort out the more tricky mapping )Platter, pitch, strip-search, Preview cue/search, through too tomorrow sometime but hopefully I think these should be running if not sooner, with help of FigDJ

then lastly its the extra pad functions again with some help, but I am spending as much time as I can at this (less this weekend as I am off to see Tilt DJ and do a performance)but all should be done into next week.

after that its the LED and coordinated lighting etc, but this will need help, probably beyond me, but we will see, maybe FigDJ can sort this also

no matter what their will be a decent mapping very soon.

Thanks for being patient and also thank you too FigDJ

Please do a quick test and send me the file.

Using the GUI
Put Cross in 4 deck mode
Load a track to on decks 1 and 3
Create a blank map

Press the cue mode button
MIDI learn set hotcue 1 for player 1 on pad1
MIDI learn clear hotcue by holding shift and pad1
Press the cue mode button a second time
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #2 still on pad1

Press the roll mode button
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #3 still on pad1
Press the roll mode button a second time
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #4 still on pad1

Press the slicer mode button
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #5 still on pad1
Press the slicer mode button a second time
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #6 still on pad1

Press the sampler mode button
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #5 still on pad1
Press the sampler mode button a second time
repeat the MIDI learn steps but now for hotcue #6 still on pad1

Do it again but using deck 3

Send me the file.
I suspect that there is a hardware array of addresses for each section. By doing the MIDI learn as I outlined I can get the data to figure out the sections of the array. Depending on what I see in the code this procedure may still need to be done a second time but instead of pressing the mode buttons a second time pressing Shift + the mode buttons.
I suspect this array is much like the Terminal Loop 8 which I just finished mapping but I need some confirmation.

Does anyone have this controller near me. With someone willing I can map this controller and do all the test in a day or 2.

Activated Soundwave wrote:Are we talking about the Deck CUE button on player one ? just not sure what you mean by cue mode as their is also the pre listen cue etc.

I am talking about the hotcue pads. The 4 modes above the pads

CUE ROLL SLICER and SAMPLER
The modes should become active as you press the mode.
I am not sure if the alternate mode for each activates upon pressing each mode button for a second time or using shift.
There are a total of 16 modes 8 primary and 8 secondary.
for example
the CUE mode
access the 8 pads and the alternate pads when a shift +pad is pressed.

When the CUE mode is pressed a second time or the Shift+CUE mode button that is called the alternate CUE mode and it should give you access to another 16 MIDI addresses.
In the test I am asking to activate the 1st pad in each mode so I can figure out the rest of the address depending on MIDI learn behavior.

Mode1= CUE
Mode2= While in CUE mode Shift +PAD

There are 16 modes

Mode1= CUE
Mode2= While in CUE mode Shift +PAD
Mode3= PRESS CUE a second time or Shift+CUE (Don't know which)
This is the alternate CUE mode
Mode4= While in the alternate CUE mode Shift +Pad
Mode5= ROLL
Mode6= While in ROLL mode Shift +PAD
Mode7= PRESS ROLL a second time or Shift+ROLL (Don't know which)
This is the alternate ROLL mode
Mode8= While in the alternate ROLL mode Shift +Pad
Mode9= SLICER
Mode10= While in SLICER mode Shift +PAD
Mode11= PRESS SLICER a second time or Shift+SLICER (Don't know which)
This is the alternate SLICER mode
Mode12= While in the alternate SLICER mode Shift +Pad
Mode13= SAMPLER
Mode15= While in SAMPLER mode Shift +PAD
Mode15= PRESS SAMPLER a second time or Shift+SAMPLER (Don't know which)
This is the alternate SAMPLER mode
Mode16= While in the alternate SAMPLER mode Shift +Pad
