I hope FigDj will be able to use this file and create a MIDI mapping for MC-4000.

Based on the provided document a map can be done. However, in order to correclty map the controller I need someone who owns the controller to step up and perform a few steps using the Cross MIDI learning capability and then send the file to me.

that will start me off on the correct interpretation of the file.

OK. I'll try to programm a little Mapping with Play/ Cues from Deck A/B and upload it here.

Is it enough ?

I can make the entire map for this controller. I just need someone that owns the controller to do couple steps for me. The information that I derive from that would allow me to complete the map.

Specifically i need someone to move the encoders Beats and library using MIDI learn. Not just random it has to be based on my instructions. For that someone needs to PM me and establish communication as there will be couple of PM back and forward to get the information. If had the controller I could map and test this entire controller in a few hours.

I am working on a map for this controller. this controller is somewhat limited no the hardware available so i got some questions for the users regarding different options.

Option 1 = Simple map

4 cue points on each side
4 sampler pads
question
the sampler pads in the center should be use for sampler 1 or sampler 2?

Option 2 = Base + 2 layer map
4 cue points on each side
The tap button on the left and right side being use as an additional shift buttons
tap button on the left allows
center encoder rotate = browse sampler 1
center encoder push = load sample bank on sampler 1

tap button on the right allows
center encoder rotate = browse sampler 2
center encoder push = load sample bank on sampler 2
On ly drawback with this approach is that in order to operate the sample pads the tap button for the respective side must be pressed and hold.

Option 3= base+ 4 layer map

In this approach tha sampler buttons are used for other functions and the pad mode buttons on each side change the pad from locators to sample pads.

needs reccomendations and oppinions on how to proceed.

MC4000.zip
Here is my map.

Disclaimer -- This is not an official map. There may be some bugs. I need your feedback in order to fix an bugs. I was totally guessing on the Jog Wheels and the endless encoders used for navigation and the FX section. The endless encoders are pretty easy to fix if they are not working correctly.

If the jog wheels are not working correctly, play with them to get them right and let me know what you did or send me the map so I can publish a fully corrected version.

The zip files contains the following:
map file in .mappings
and a .txt files with a list of the button and how they are mapped.

The numbering system used in the txt file is from the MC 4000 user's manual.
