Numark N4 Issue

So I finally got my Numark N4 and the mapping seems to be fine but I'm only 3 days with the controller. One issue has already surfaced: The deck 2/4 button isn't responding correctly. When pushed the light stays on deck 2 but the deck 1/3 buttons changes - it actually changes decks - both decks- and deck 2/4 control does switch but the light nor the deck number change. I was wondering if it's the controller or a mapping issue?

So my deck 1/3 button changes deck 1/3 correctly but the 2/4 button changes both decks but doesn't change the deck 2/4 light nor lights the deck 4 light.

I am looking to create a duplicate map then see if I can figure out how to correct this but I thought I'd throw it up here on the forum for some input/insight. Being new I'm not sure if it's mapping or my controller is busted and needs to be sent back.

Also there are a few controls that I am not seeing mapped such as the mute track button that is in Cross. I manually do that now. I use track 1/2 for video and I usually keep those channels muted.

Any help/insight is appreciated.

This one's gonna take some time. I really need help. I loaded Virtual DJ, which came with the controller, and the deck 2/4 (B/D) button works like it's supposed to. This leads me to the mapping of the N4 that is supplied with Cross.

I made a duplicate of the N4 map in Cross but could not see where this particular setting was. I just can't seem to figure it out. I reviewed all of the settings but didn't see any that was 'change deck/player' or switch deck/player. It may be labeled something that I am not correlating with the deck switching.

Any MIDI mapping gurus have some suggestions?

was not trying to be harsh ,,but glad you got a posting in the right section ,, hopefully you will get some assistance ,, the little I know about mapping would even make a good sound sample with

Here is a screenshot of the mapping in Virtual DJ, if this helps. I still can't seem to locate the corresponding mapping in Cross.

Got a strange update for this. I checked the behavior in Cross DJ and it works a bit better. I exported the mapping and imported it into Cross and it works the same as it does in Cross DJ.

Here's the improvement - When Deck 4 is the current deck it will change to deck 2 fine (complete with changing the led). But when you change from 2 - 4 it also changes the 1-3 deck button. It's still not completely independent yet but at least you can see which deck you're working with.

If you want to use it here is the mapping as exported from Cross DJ -
Right Click and save the file then import into Cross

Dunno what happened but it doesn't work again so my 'fix' isn't solid. It's back to the non working deck 2/4 button on the N4.

I am not on my regular computer right now. So if you upload the map either with .zip or .mappings extension I will be able to take a look and perhaps find where is the trouble.
