Hi. I was delighted when I saw Cross integrating Link. So I should link it with Maschine (NI) tu do some remix and add some spices to my DJ sets.

I'm know trying this and I dont understand.
Tempo changes in active player don't change Link tempo. The only way to change it is to change with the tiny buttons +/- near Link button.
Changing link tempo doesn't change deck playing speed at all.
So it's useless.

And when Link is enable, pitch change in a deck is also disable.

So, how can this be used ? I can't find a way, neither any utility with link addition.

Hi Will,

Right now the way Ableton Link functions in Cross DJ is not the most practical. When link is enabled it takes over as the Master deck (and will read the BPM from the master deck) then you have to have SYNC enabled on both decks and will have to use the tiny + & - buttons to change the BPM for all decks and any other linked apps(since MIDI control seems to be broken).

I will bring this up with the team to see if there will be any plans to expand on Ableton link functionality, such as being able to have Cross DJ set and control the master BPM via the master deck (that way you can DJ the way you normally would and have it control the tempo of all other linked apps).

Regards,

Adam @Mixvibes

Thanks, Adam. I'll keep an eye on this.

From now, it's mostly unusable, except in a live where tempo doesn't change.

Do you (Adam@mixvibes) mean that mixvibes developers might still consider updating Cross in the future ? If so, it might be the kind of news a lot of people are waiting for in the forum. can there still be hope ?
thanx in advance if your are able (or allowed) to answer
