Default BMP for sound effects?

Hello,

I'm using this app mainly for sound effects on a video podcast show since all the Android apps for that purpose are terrible. Unfortunately, when I export sounds, I don't know what to set BPM at so I auto detect and some of the clips play too fast or too slow. Since BPM is completely irrelevant to what I'm doing since no music beats are involved, is there a way to disable the BPM or is there a default setting to use across the board that will keep recordings at their original speed?

Thank you :)

Hi chistianday,

As long as the tempo fader for a deck is set to 0.0% then the loaded file should always play at its original speed regardless of what Cross DJ thinks the BPM is. As long as you don't hit the sync button it should stay at 0.0% at all times, and you can also double tap the fader to return it to 0.0% if you accidentally move it.

Let me know if you are running into issues getting your sounds to play at the correct speed still or have any other questions.

Regards,
Adam @Mixvibes

You can in addition edit the pad. Change the pitch mode to None. This avoids the pad using any of the other settings (speed or master).

By this you can use other decks for all music options and the pads you want without having to worry about settings.

I had similar challenges in the past with soundeffects for musicals. Pretty anoying if soundeffects don't follow natural speed (like braking, background sounds, laughing etc)
