Hi, I am in general a happy user of Cross DJ Free (without Adverts) for now at least two years, but having not used it now for quite a while I now am encountering heavy crackles etc on every song I play - which makes the App useless.
I use Cross DJ 3.2.5, played around with different settings in the advanced settings menu, no differences. My Android Device is a Sony Z5 compact (E5823) with Android 7.1.1. The Standard-Music-App in my phone is playing fine. The crackles are always there, also without any other app opened, also when not touching the phone at all. A restart or Fly-mode do not help...

Main difference with a music player is that these stream and have a few secs in memory whereas Cross has the full track in memory so jumping back and forth can be done instantly (<millisecond).

The crackles are usually caused by stressed CPU or other apps delaying responsiveness like syncing are protective apps.

The only thing you didn't mention is if you have your collection pre-analyzed, which could help for tracks not used before.

Are your tracks always present at your phone or do you occasipnally remove or overwrte them?

The songs are always present at my phone, very rarely some additions, no removals. So, I will try pre-analyzing them. Until now I didn't do, but waited normally until the song itself is analyzed before playing.

Can you recommend a reliable app to analyze CPU-usage vs app-usage?

Just for completeness: updated now to 3.2.6, no change.
Interestingly, playing over Bluetooth is crystal-clear.

So, pre-analyzed all songs. No change, the sound is still incredibly bad.

Installed CPU-Z. When playing music with CrossDJ and having these distortions, it tells me, the CPU load is between 15% and 30%, Available RAM is more than 500MB (>30%).
I interpret both numbers to be not really critical, or?
