Mix2gopro and Galaxy s8+

Just bought the mix2gopro. Assuming that I was going to be able to use the DJ controls on the top. I get no notification of a MIDI controller connected. Is this because of the usb-c connection? Android is up to date. Tried any and all sub connections. Not paying $200 for a Bluetooth speaker only. Please help before I return this thing.

what responce do you want
not familiar with the controller
not familiar with the tablet
not familiar with the os and connective issues
only thing i am familiar with is the compatibility chart listing what controllers are mapped and tested for connectivity ,,but that kinda old,,,so,your guess is as good as mine ,, and seeing you are looking for more than guesses ,, the reason for my silence
plus momma told me if i dont have something good to say ,,then

The S8+ is a Samsung flagship phone. And I've seen numerous problems with this controller. So I should just stop trying? That's what I feel like we are saying here.

The worst part is that the quick start guide that comes with the controller says download this app. And when you plug your phone in it will say MIDI device detected. It doesn't do that. They make it sound so simple....

 what in life do you want simple
screen shot of compability for android ,, seems like old list
what instructions come with the controller ,,have you checked the Pioneer web site for more revelent info ,,not sure which way to tell you to proceede, suggest you leave info nessary ie what you have tried ,, your hardware set up ,,how you are connecting to tablet ,what setting in software have you tried ,, for someone who may be more familiar with the set up ,,

Did alot of digging. This is a Gemini product. Found 2 old phones. One being a galaxy s6. Worked with a little lag. Also a note 5. Didn't work at all. So of the 3 android phones only the s6 worked. That and the note 5 both have micro usb. Thought that may have been the issue but apparently not. I guess I'll return this thing as much as I would love to keep it.

One of the problems with Android is that there are over 1000 versions. Each manufacturer and provider can select there own features. Part of this can be the 'drivers' for components like the USB port.

One important thing is to always use a powered USB hub as not all devices have the ability to deliver the needed power.

Hope this clarifies some of the results you get and why it's hard to give a conclusive answer.

Hello Ghost2314,

Sorry about the lack of response and buggy behavior of your Mix2Go.

And thank you to RoJeC and Daniel for trying to help and clear up this issue.

From what I understand the Mix2Go will only work with Cross DJ Free, the other list of compatible controllers is for Cross DJ Pro. This has to do with some sort of deal with the hardware manufacturers.

I have seen many users having issues with the Mix2Go connecting and it most likely has to do with the large variety of Android devices and versions (as RoJeC mentioned). I have also been told that the OTG cable that comes with the Mix2Go can be very buggy, so it might be worth trying a different one if possible.

Best regards,
Adam @Mixvibes
