new MIDI system user

Postby Nigel Moore on 26 Mar 2017, 13:40

Hi,
I am new to the whole digital mixing concept (used to mix on vinyl many years ago)

I am looking to get my lad mixing using CROSSDJ PRO.
I have a Samsung galaxy tab2 10.1 with this on and have been offered a Pioneer DDJ Wego K, which i think is the first gen wego at a resonable price.

1. will Cross DJ work with this?
2. what other hardware will i need to get up and running?

Any help will greatfully appreciated
Thanks in advance
Nigel

 the youtube link at top has selections of video and info ,,
:?: what android operating system has the tablet ,,play a part in set up issues ,
you need info and or the oppunity to set up your system ,,due to the fact that android and different manafacture of tablets ,cause issues with basic set up /operating so to tell you it will function will be going out on a limb ,,so get familiar with the software and how its set up too see if it will work

Thanks for the reply Daniel,

I had a look at the video links before posting.

The Tab I'm looking to use is a Samsung GT-P5110 and running android 4.2.2

I can see the wego2 is supported but wasn't sure with the wego K.
I may just have to use buy it and use the laptop if it doesn't work on the tablet.

Any other help would be really appreciated.

 sounds like you have a plan ,, got a low level tablet free thru phone company ,,already had U-Mix Control pro2 ,, figured to set up a small mobile ri for fun ,,issues getting MIDI connection because of tab ,, so
best laid plans ,, the app for tab is realitvly in expensive ,,the software for laptop is also ,,unless you want to expand to full vid features /hid control/DVS /timecode control ,then Cross DJ will work ,, you can down load the free version ,,(no MIDI control) for software familization ,or the demo for time restraint usage ,
so any other :?: feel free to ask ,, use the search function in fourm for more topics related to what you are trying to figure out ,,good resource
welcome to mixvibes

if you purches the versions for computer/laptop ,,please regerster the software licence key in the forum ,,will save grief later
