Cross DJ with Pioneer DDJ SB and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

After a few weeks trying to find the answer and trying various things myself, I'm hoping you can help me with this set up.

I am using Cross DJ Pro on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. I want to use my Pioneer DDJ SB controller to control it. The tablet support USB 2.0, and I have a powered USB hub with USB 3.0 ports. The Samsung tablet has a USB 2.0 OTG cable (I also have the Samsung OTG adapter that came with my Samsung S7). I have tried the following combinations, none of which work:

1. Tablet with OTG cable.USB lead from tablet to one of the USB hub 3.0 ports. USB lead (provided with controller) from Pioneer controller to another 3.0 port on the USB hub.

2. Tablet with OTG cable. USB lead (provided with controller) from Pioneer controller to the tablet.

3. Tablet with OTG cable.USB lead from tablet to USB In port on USB Hub. USB lead (provided with controller) from Pioneer controller to one 3.0 port on the USB hub.

4. Tablet with OTG cable.USB lead from tablet to one of the USB hub 3.0 ports. USB lead (provided with controller) from Pioneer controller to another 3.0 port on the USB hub. USB lead running from USB In port on USB Hub to PC

The tablet is running Android 6.01

The youtube video from Cross DJ suggests that scenario 1 should work, it does not for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRAao2CFfQc

Equipment I am using is below. The leads and USB hub are all working fine with other equipment, the OTG cable supports other item such as flash drives,so I also know there is no fault with the tablet.

You have a great description of what you tried. However you've not mentioned what your issue is... MIDI/audio/both...

Oh yeah !

Cross DJ doesn't recognise the controller in any of the scenarios described.

Just to be sure.. both audio as MIDI do not work at all?
The 2 protocols are totally independent, so it's important to know if both fail.

Many controllers actually use USB1.1. Do you now if your USB hub supports this?
Easiest to try would be connect to a PC and see if you can use the MIDI and/or soundcard of the SB.

Thanks for the reply.

The controller definitely works, when plugged into a PC. It also works when plugged in directly to my Samsung s7 mobile phone (although the audio is poor when using rca leads to a speaker)

The tablet also works with Cross DJ pro app independently

Did this guy ever find a solution to his issue, the conversation just stopped in Feb. I have a galaxy s2 tab, otg cable, anger 3.0 7 port hub and the wego2. Otg works just fine with all sorts of drives, but tab will not recognize wego. I'm running android 6.0. Mixvibes works fine by itself, just cannot see external controller.
