Having a separate Cross database will be hard as this takes a lot of space.
Also be aware that playlists are maintained by the mediabase.
In this setup you best use a powered usb hub. Else your hdd will drain your battery and you'll have to disconnect to charge your tab. Also the tab needs a lot of power due to screen and cpu activity.
My personal thought is that you shouldn't try to get the same result from a tab as from a PC. I use a small set of tracks at my tab (3k) also at lower quality (256mp3 vs Flac).
This EXACTLY what I thought someone would say... Thank you for the insight. I don't believe the make and model of the tablet would make a difference but I am using a Samsung Galaxy View Tab with a portable HD so I get your point about the battery etc.. My PC software crashes too often (I use Native Instruments Traktor) but they seem to be falling backwards lately. Maybe I'll give MixVibes a shot on the PC.
Thanks again for the info guys, have a great day!
