no. not normal.
When you analyse again it will go through all files quickly untill non analysed are found... Is this the case?
Just maybe your files are read only... not sure if android respects this attribute...

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Not sure if that is the same as happens with the iOS version on iPad.

Everytime you open the app it reloads the track list (or whatever it is called). If you have a substantial amount of tracks this CAN take a while. And I mean a few minutes and it may seem like its analyzing.

However, this is NOT re-analyzing tracks!

I have never seen the app (re)analyze tracks on it's own. It only does that when I specifically tell it to analyze tracks.

Again, not sure if this functionality is comparable to the Android version of the app, but one would expect so.

Clearly writing rights for wherever Cross saves the analysis info has to be correct. But I am not intimate enough with Android to know if this could be the issue here.

 well heres some more info ,,
the music player has to do the same thing ,,have to refresh the media in the player ,, its about 1300 songs in the 32 gig sd drive ,,the media player see only about 60 then i have to scan for media for the rest,,takes about 4-5 min ,, yesterday when opened tablet had to do this ,, then went to the Cross DJ pro app and went to load song in player ,,all 1220 files there but no bpm listed and usually leave it in bpm /songs view as to just randomly pick song either in a progression or de gression order ,, so hence the need for re anyalising the collection,, about two hours,,so much for just having a tablet to carry for a adlib mixing session ,, untill figure this out ,,dont think this is a Cross app issue ,,as to the same thing happens to the media player/music app ,, gonna see what song are left in the media player to see what maybe is the difference between the tracks there and the one not there ,since all the files where loaded to the sd drive ,,except one

Did you add files seperately (copy paste) or have you synced somehow which added the files.
Did you remove the SD card to copy? If you do this while device is on the mediabase may be updated with current available tracks. It's a bit vague when the mediabase is triggered to update.

As you mention (in the reply just added) Cross app depends on mediabase. If this is changed the id of a track is changed so Cross doesn't have any more info.

 thease files where added to the sd card by using win media player/sync,,using right clik file, send to sync tab ,,did this in batches of 150 to 200 songs ,, synced and then anyalised ,, note,, saw the behavior you mentioned as to anyalising files ,,the one previously added and anylised ,, was there and reconized the anyalis and went thru faster than the added files ,
