Android devices do not work with the app

I have a Pioneer Wego2-K. Tried it with my Samsung TM520 and S4 (Android 5+, Cyanomodgen) and it does not work. Tried it directly (WeGo2 Powers up) and indirectly (via powered USB hub) but nothing works. OTG cable tested because USB keyboard are recognised by both devices. What can be the problem? I've updated the Wego2 to the latest firmware (1.03) btw.

I've tried it also with the 'other Android DJ app' (DJAY) and that does not work either. I've tried both the free versions, do I need to buy the apps to get connectivity?

Thanks!

Do you have the Cross DJ pro app.

Some users reported the order of connecting the hardware makes a difference for the device on recognising the hardware.

I have the free version. That's why I wondered if the free version does not support any MIDI connectivity.

You do need the pro. The free doesn't have this. The Inapp purchases in free do not have MIDI as option...

Good new may be that there's an special offer at amazon. .. pro version for no money if you use amazon store. Btw seen this last week and don't know when offer ends.

..reply of Daniel refers to PC.mac version. ..

Well, I bought it :) And it works, but only directly with the OTG cable plugged into the Wego2. Via the HUB it will not detect a device. What could be the reason for that.

Thanks for the help so far. :D

Great it works, but one of the reasons to need a hub is to have power supplied to the phone/tablet; you don't want to work without this....

Some 'general' options
- The USB cable is power only (no data)
- The hub is a powersupply instead of a powered hub
- The hub has a technical problem

.... something else?

Cheers for the update. I really do not know if there are different types of powered USB hubs. Ill look into it. Do you know any good brands/type. I live in The Netherlands myself so maybe you know a good shop that sells that specific item.

It's not so much there are different types of hubs, it's more that hubs and multiport adapters may look alike.

I don't have to much experience in phone/tablet hub use. For my laptop I have 7 ports usb hub.
- >= 2 ampere recommended
Make sure to have large access area for usb connectors.

Dixons, bol.com, alternate ofzo....
