My use requires all files start at the beginning of each track ... most of my tracks do not ... is there a solution?

You can manually set the Cue to the intended position. Turn the platter to move the track and press Cue button (when not playing).

The analysis function will always try to find the 'best' first down beat and set the Cue to that position. This is required for many of the Cross features.

So you may have to spend some time to the tracks which you prefer starting off-beat. Good news is that the Cue point is saved.
