Can the app be kept in sync with Cross (DJ) on PC/Mac? Thinking about things like beatgrids and cuepoints which are more easily edited on the desktop.

No.
At PC/Mac it is easy to create an own database. The iOS/Android versions use the 'central' audio database as size generally is a limitation for many phones/tabs.
This isn't really the only hurdle, but be sure it is on the wishlist.

It would be really nice to be able to create hotcues, etc. while out at lunch on my iOS device and have it save to the cloud for whenever I get home. This way I can prep anywhere anytime and leave the fun for the studio!
