Not to sure what no sound means in your setup.

The UMCP2 can not be used for audio output as OTG device. You do need a DJ-splitter (so not a stereo splitter) for 2 channel output (main and cue).

To use MIDI you have to connect in Advanced settings. And as you wrote a powered hub is required. Important reason is that android devices aren't really designed for providing power out as well as to prevent the battery being drained in short time as the app uses a lot for CPU and screen activity; somewhat depending on your style.

The UMCP2 doesn't cause 'no audio'... should be something else going on.

if you can provide a solution for this to work, I would be amazed.
Having this item combination recommended to me by MixVibes only to have it not work is very disappointing.

to quote from you website, which led me to you in the first place

"MIDI Control
Connect your Android device to the U-Mix Control-Pro: all Cross DJ controls are mapped. Browse, scratch, sync tracks, add effects… everything works at a very low latency.

I'm sorry but from my perspective it isn't clear what does and doesn't work.

If nothing is connected, so device only, does it work?
If it doesn't try the tweaking options in Advanced settings.

If/when it works add the dj-splitter.
Using the splitter options and Mix knob fader, can you send audio to Master and Cue independent. of one another.

When connecting the device to the hub and then the UMCP2 to the hub, are you able to use the controls?
You might have to enable it in the Advanced settings (scroll down in the list).
This is the MIDI part you refer to in the quote.

OK

I plug in the device using the OTG/Powered hub and hit connect MIDI in the advance settings, I get control of the dials and buttons but no sound.

I have tried all settings, split cable, single cable, all ports and still nothing.

I'm sorry but you still haven't mentioned if you ever get sound out.
If you just use your device, nothing connected, does this work.

It is good to know that the MIDI controls do function... despite the audio...

Ok. Let's just focus on this. If your tab doesn't produce any sound on its own, adding cables ain't gonna to do it.

So no cables in until it works.
Sorry if it seems silly to ask, but different steps might be going on behind the scenes...

Check if Cross has quit (via settings | apps). It should never run after a normal quit.

Start and load a track. Wait a short while in case analyses is started for the track. Press Play... does it spin? Audible? (should be strange if yes...). Make sure Cross fader is in the middle so it doesn't matter which deck you use.

Go to volumes in settings options. Is master open (carefull turn to max.
Using Gain shouldn't be necessary.

Check your version meanwhile in this screen.. guess 2.0.3.

Close settings. Still spinning constant?

Still no sound? Close Cross and try playing the same track (so this file) using a different program.
Sound audible> remove Crss DJ and reinstall...

Please share your experience on the steps...
